After discussing different troubleshooting methods for older Bose Lifestyle systems, some clients asked whether the same approaches apply to the newer Bose Lifestyle 600/650 systems. The answer is no. In older models, the system's amplifier was located in the subwoofer, but in the LS-600/650 systems, the amplifier is built into the console.
If your system has no sound on any input, the issue is most likely with the console. If the console is properly connected to the electrical outlet and still not working, the console itself may be defective.
If the problem is isolated to one source, such as a DVD player, check the connection between the player and the console. If the connection is secure, try switching the DVD player to another input on the console. If the issue persists, replace the HDMI cable between the DVD player and the console.
If changing the cable doesn’t solve the problem, the DVD player could be defective. To confirm, plug the DVD player directly into the TV. If it still doesn’t work, you’ll know the DVD player is the issue.
