As many of our clients know by now, the Bose company has undergone massive changes including the closing of all their retail stores. Long known for incredible sounding speakers, Bose still offers a couple of great passive speakers. Although their passive speaker options have been cut back, Bose still offers an indoor flush mounted ceiling speaker, Model 791, and an outdoor surface mounted speaker, Model 251. These 2 speakers will work with any amplifier with a 4–8-ohm output and work especially well with the Sonos amplifier. The Bose 791 speaker is designed for in-ceiling use only and should not be used as an in-wall speaker. The Bose 251 speaker is available in either black or white. Both models, the 791 and 251, will handle up to 100 watts of power. For help with designing your home entertainment system, we offer free virtual consultations.
