Can I Add a Soundbar to My Bose Lifestyle System?

We received an interesting call this week from a client that wanted to add a new Soundbar to their Bose Lifestyle system. Their goal was to take advantage of the Soundbar’s Dolby Atmos technology in hopes of adding Dolby Atmos to his Bose Lifestyle system. Unfortunately, that cannot be done. The design of all Bose Lifestyle system prohibits adding any additional speakers. The only exception to this is you can add a 2nd Bose bass module to the Lifestyle 600/650 systems. To be clear, although the Bose Lifestyle 650 center speaker may appear to be a small soundbar, it isn’t a soundbar. For those wanting to experience Dolby Atmos, we suggest the Sonos Arc Soundbar and Sub with in-wall/ceiling rear speakers powered by a Sonos amp.
